I'm considering getting an ASUS MB169B+ portable monitor to use with my Shield Tablet. This monitor has only USB DisplayLink as an input.
I know this works with an Android + USB OTG Y splitter + power bank battery for monitor power source as per this thread here using an Xperia Z5:

The Android device requires an app to output to DisplayLink and will also be stuck in landscape unless you manually change it.
Has anyone done this with an Nvidia Shield Tablet & can you think of any pitfalls I might encounter along the way if I tried this with our device?
Cheers!
