Do standard roots for S7/Etc work for the Active? Are there any out for the Active?

I guess due to it being a new version of the S7 this forum is rather empty. I've read conflicting info, some saying its not possible (like it wasn't for the S6 Active) and then Sadroid showing this guide ( http://ift.tt/2axE3V8 ).

And just to be clear I'm using the US ATT S7 Active, SM-G891A.

Hoping someone can clear this up for me (and others that prob have the same question) before I give it a try.
