I'm trying to update some NV settings on my rooted Moto X Play XT1563 with QPST, but I'm running into some issues at the finish line. Here's a summary of what I've done:
- Start with stock 6.0.1
- Booted TWRP into RAM and used it to install SuperSU
- Rebooted with BP Tools selected from the (is this right) Fastboot options
- Turned on debug mode
- Installed the Motorola USB drivers
- Connected my Moto X Play to Windows 10, and installed the Motorola QC Debug Port driver
- Launched the QPST server and added the appropriate port
- Launched Software Download / RF_NV_Manager (I tried an older version)
- Backed up the settings / Read the NV settings from the phone
- Modified the backup file / Modified the specific register that I had in mind
- Tried to restore the modified backup / tried writing the changed NV settings
