I just received my unlock permission today, and I believe I have managed to unlock my BL.
Fastboot shows:
Device tampered with: false
Device unlocked: true
Device critical unlocked: true
I've been reading heaps of guides on how to install the EU rom, but I'm still confused as people are saying they were successful using methods others say wouldn't work. I want to make sure I get this right so as to not brick my device.
Confusion:
The official xiaomi.eu ROM thread says you can install via 2 methods, however they both say "from China ROM".
On other threads, I have seen some people say they went from Global Stable ROM > Unlock BL > Install TWRP > Flash EU ROM.
Which is correct? Is it a MUST to install the Chinese Dev ROM before EU?
I'm having trouble installing the Chinese Dev ROM, so would be great if bypassing it was an option.
Issues I'm having with installing Dev ROM:
- "Cannot verify package" through Updater.
- MiSuite - "You must update device before proceeding etc"
I believe both are known issues....and there doesn't seem to be much I can do.
Any advice would be great - I think I've read so much that I've confused myself haha
