Hi, my phone is old and the software is annoying. Thats why i want to try out some custom roms.
But at first i need to backup my things, which shouldn't be that hard. The bigger problem is, that i also want to backup the rom because it's not available to download.
The specs are: (CID Getter) x315e; (under the battery) PI39200; Android 4.0.3; HTC Sense 3.6; Software Number 2.31.207.1; Kernel 3.0.16; Build No 2.31.207.1
I can't update the phone because it says there is no update. But on androidruu.com i found one (RUU_RUNNYMEDE_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_2.31.401.2_Radi o_20.70.30.0832U_3831.16.00.16_M_release_258303_si gned.exe) which has a higher build no. So thats why i want to backup my rom.
The problem is, that it comes only with a internal storage (i think 16GB), so if i would install a custom recovery, i won't be able to backup the rom?!
Would it work with backing up through adb?
And another question is, i found a Kernel source on htcdev.com (Sensation XL O2 DE CRC 3.0.16 v4.0 97.4 MB 2.31.207.1) it states that it is a 3.0.16 Kernel and as description it says 2.31.207.1.
Is it possible to build the rom i have right now with this two files (ruu and Kernel)?
