I have an Amazon Fire 7" 5th Gen. I just got it this week. It's running Fire OS 5.1.2. I've tried using the super tool to install the Google Play Store and it won't let me login to my account. I even completely rooted the Fire and still couldn't sign in. I did a hard reset and sideloaded the 5.1.2 firmware from scratch and followed this http://ift.tt/1hU8Z2z and still can't sign in. I've even sideloaded com.android.vending-5.9.12-80391200-minAPI9 and com.google.android.gms-7.0.97_(1791429-070)-7097070-minAPI9 manually and still can't sign in. I've checked both the host file (only has 127.0.0.1 localhost listed) and Iran the adb command giving com.google.android.gms permissions and still I can't login. I'm at a loss of things to try.
The tablet also keeps showing me the notification "An Application requires an update for Google, Requested by Google Play Services" and when I select that notification it takes me to the store and asks me to sign in which I can't do. Is there a newer version of one of the apps that I need to manually download and install?
